On a sartorial note, waistcoats were in evidence. This harbinger of winter also gives the blokes a chance to make a style statement. Kevin Brookes, back from a hard few weeks holidaying, sported a very fetching garb that was beautifully set off with his brown wool look waistcoat.
For a variety of reasons our usual, highly illustrious leadership team were all absent from the meeting so things were bound to be a bit different this morning….
22 sat down to breakfast and so the meeting commenced. There was talk of droppage and Scott Griffiths went low-tech with his (apparently!) 40th 10-minute presentation to the group
A much improved turnout showed 23 Members in attendance braving the darkness and the fog. A lively meeting with an impressive presentation from Matt “Laminate” Barry
Word must have got out that it was my turn for the 10-minute presentation, numbers were down to 18 and no visitor dared show his face. Notwithstanding, when the darkness had been driven out by daylight, we had a beautiful clear sky and bright sunshine. Those of you who did not attend missed a very lively and good-humoured meeting.
A whimsey-free meeting with 21 members present and 1 guest. New member Rupert gave an interesting first-time 10-minute presentation. First time for us, he’s clearly an expert at this kind of thing!
Although heralding as the pressing prospect of the Winter spirits were raised by the Meeting, which had a theme of quotes from the movies and which elicited a great deal of interest and research from the Members and in addition, once the dawn had broken, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny morning.
On a day which I anticipate will be the last weekly meeting where the school holidays impinge we were 20 Members and 1 visitor; Tim Heard who has made an application to join.
