Last week in August and virtually everyone back from their hols. And we accordingly went up to 22 present. In bright sunshine …..everyone mingling
The Performance League
Paul Corrigan is out front with 247 points closely followed by Toby Acton and Terry Maylin
Education Presentation
Ben Golding’s topic was the importance of listening when inter reacting with other members so that you are better able to find referrals, He then gave us a scenario where there was a collision between a car and a train. Blood all over the place!!! He then posed various questions when we all demonstrated how we definitely don’t listen carefully enough. Do we all listen carefully enough to our Clients?
The 60 Second Round
Blake Hammond was the awarder this week and as with last week he was looking towards winter. Get your gloves and hoodies early!
Dave Roberts has been helping out old ladies lower their fuse boards whilst Mellissa Jackson is there to help demystify jargon whether you are an old lady or not. Toby Acton’s job is to demystify and this week it was a lady with a swim school who had lost her way and as it is Toby this was in a metaphorical way. The ultimate densifier was Jane Malyon. There is the Cream Tea, there is the Afternoon Tea and there is High Tea and they are all different! And she then went on to explain the differences.
Most of us just wanted to attract specific Clients. Way out front was Brian Painter who had a list of conditions he could treat, names to go with them and a cleverly worked rhyming that had him head and shoulders above the others who included John Hammond who wanted more schools projects for the next holidays; Mike Skinner who wanted businesses who wanted to freshen up their Web Sites and Vincent Goode who wanted Businesses who needed Business Cards.
Our Oscar winner however was Paul (Mike) Corrigan with one of his Top Tips…..First find your Stop Cock and then fiddle about with it so that you always find it and be able to easily turn it on and off. Maybe even pretend you are in the SAS and try doing it Blindfolded.
Synergy Team Meeting
Last week Jane Malyon chaired another successful meeting with 9 members in attendance. Try and get there next month, it’s well worth it!
10-minute presentation by Mike Skinner
The proper use of a television screen by Mike giving us a guided tour of his work method and what he achieves. Excellent!
Referrals and Testimonials
Lively session reflective of good quality business passed
Our friend and fellow member BRIAN PAINTER is not giving up the Dark Arts of Hypnotherapy but with sadness is leaving us. One of our founder members he has delighted is with his lurid descriptions of the chemicals to be found in the common fag and the myriad hangups that are part of the human state or rather the product of our subconscious. More latterly as our Social Secretary he presided over very successful dinners and outings. He will be a hard act to follow and we wish him well as he continues to pry into other people’s psyche.
Paul Corrigan will be his successor as Social Secretary. Lets throw him enough to get his teeth into!!
I really enjoyed this mornings meeting. A great crowd in the room who were enraptured by Ben Ben’s Ed Slot, Mike’s useful 10 minute presentation and all very sad to see Brian go! We’ll miss you Mr Pilgrim!
Great meeting this morning!! Fantastic 10 minute presentation from Mike!! Always well polished and well delivered with great content!!
Very sad 😢 to see Mr Painter go! Will definitely miss his 120 seconds each week!!
Aww lol x x
Excellent ten minutes again Mike – full of tips and wisdom. Ben Ben – your intro showed my weakness in listening skills when it comes to details! I’ve never been an ultimate densifier before – how intriguing! Meanwhile, big wrench letting our Sir Brian disappear into the networking sunset. The benchmark for how to dress immaculately, wear your EBF badge and speak from memory – is disappearing rapidly!! Aww x x x
Unfortunately, I missed everyone’s 60 seconds and Ben’s Ed Slot as there was no recording. Sorry, I wasn’t there to see Brian go but enjoy your three weeks in Tenerife. Well done Mike on your 10-minute presentation. See you all in a few weeks.
Great meeting, even from my somewhat hungover and dazed perspective!
Usual high standard of presentation from Mike, and really sad to say farewell to Brian.
Brian’s final 60 seconds (90 seconds) was spellbinding, he delivered it off by heart. Very impressive. His presence at the meetings will be missed. Especially when he tells me off not eating the crusts of my sarnie.
Great Ed slot Ben, left us all looking confused! And what a brilliant 60 seconds from Brian remembering all that with not a note in sight!
Sad to see you go, been an absolute pleasure!
Bon voyage Brian. It’s been a pleasure
Great meeting today, great Ed slot and 10 mins! Best 60ish seconds ever by brian, that man will be missed!
I have big shoes to fill taking over from brian, will do my best!
Another great meeting. I am sorry to see Brian retire from the EBF group he will be missed. BUT I understand he is still working and helping people get over the fear of flying and to give up smoking. All the best for the future Brian. Great 10 minutes Mike you really know your stuff . Great ED slot Ben and is exactly why we follow up all meetings and conversations on the phone or on the stairs with an email.
What a great meeting today- it makes such a difference to the atmosphere with that number in the room keep it up.
Sorry Brian has gone but let’s look for a new hypnotherapist- there are plenty out there!
Great presentation Mike explaining the basics of what to look for when preparing marketing material!
Well done Mike on your presentation. A real shame to see Brian leave the group, we’ll all miss his witty banter.
A truly excellent meeting once again. A great Ed Slot from Ben and a brilliant 10 minute presentation from Mike. A clever and memorable 60 seconds from Brian but sadly his last! But he is not stopping work which was good to hear.
