The first rain in days and it had to be on a Thursday morning, but were we downhearted……….
‘We’ was 18 members and one visitor and upbeat we were!!
The Performance League
More than half of us have hit the monthly benchmark with a week to go. Paul Booth remains in the lead with 249 points.
Education Presentation
The Naughty Corner treated us to an enactment of ‘two men on a park bench’. Starring Paul Booth as the narrator and Howard Bullock as the tramp and in between an imaginary bag of ‘cookies’. So it was probably set in Central rather than Regent’s Park. One was a business man and the other a vagrant. The businessman thought the vagrant was nicking his cookies but in fact it was the other way round. The moral of the tale was something about not making assumptions about anything….even cookies. Who needs access to a Web Site anyway!!
The 60 Second Round
Rosemarie Driscoll led us off. If you use her services when you go away she will do all the grunt work, what’s not to like! Toby Acton also helps your business ‘get away’ by helping you have a clear plan getting wealthier faster.
Mike Skinner moved from the drones of last week to ear wax and foot fungus removal this week. Videos are not always exploring the great outdoors.
Maintaining the theme of the Ed Slot and things not always being what they seem, Mike Hickson pointed out that signing up for Microsoft 365 is not just for Christmas but for life; John Hammond warned that a cheap CCTV system will be useless for decent images that might have to be used at court.
Sayings of the week; Stuart Smallcombe’s ‘ by hook or by crook he’ll get the job done’ and Jane Malyon ‘There’s no taste like scone’
Nick Cooke explained that he had to leave early as the lady he was visiting to inspect her chimney breast had to leave early to scatter some ashes! Sounds like the chimney breast is not the only thing that might need support.
Mellissa Jackson won the Oscar for her eulogy to working recently with other members, namely TM Law and Booth and Co. We all can relate to this sentiment.
This weeks statistics and points of note
A very upbeat Scott Griffiths was able to report 25 referrals this week and £25,500.00 worth of business passed which in total for the month to date is around £50,000.00. Good with a week to go. Don’t forget to enter up electronically as well.
10-minute presentation by Scott Griffiths
The seasoned members of our group including Stuart Smallcombe and Nick Cooke have recently performed outstandingly.. As seasoned as anyone…..if not more so is Scott Griffiths and his presentation was as good as it gets by simply setting out, in illustrated format, just how he builds a web site. This quality of presentation makes referring so much easier.
Sartorial NoteReferrals and Testimonials
As befitting a high value and numerous referral round it was a great advert for EBF and pick of the bunch was John Hammond who with 7 referrals deservedly won the Speakers Prize.
a lively and fun meeting – great 10minutes Scott!
Excellent meeting and despite a strange but entertaining ed slot it got the message across.
Well done Scott on another simple explanation of how the magic works!
Good to see our visitor Derrick and hopefully he liked what he saw and will be back!
Great meeting . It was a really fun meeting. Paul, your ed slot was spot on. We have to dress differently for meetings as some clients like to talk to sales staff and others want to talk to engineers about their problems. Scott really informative 10 minutes and would highly recommend you to any one. Thanks for the input you have given for the new sideline we are working on and the speed you are help in setting it up . Big Thanks Scott
